HEC-WAT has been developed for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). However, software developed at
the Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) is made available to the public whenever appropriate. Use is not
restricted and individuals outside of USACE may use the software without charge. HEC will not provide user
assistance or support for this software to non-USACE users. Downloading this software indicates full acceptance
of the user's responsibility in the use of this software. Please see the distribution policy for more details.
Note: HEC-WAT Version 1.0 is a provisional release that will undergo certification through the Flood Risk
Management Planning Center of Expertise. HEC-WAT should not be used for final decisions regarding USACE
planning study until certification is complete.
Current Version HEC-WAT 1.0:
The install packages include HEC-WAT Version 1.0; HEC-HMS (4.2.1), HEC-ResSim (3.3), HEC-FIA (Version 3.0.1), and HEC-SSP (2.2.1).

Adding the HEC-WAT Hydrologic Sampler User's manual to the HEC-WAT software:
Step 1 - Download the HEC-WAT Hydrologic Sampler User's Manual (CPD-88b.pdf; 10.5MB)
Step 2 - From the HEC-WAT folder, from the 1.0 folder, from the HEC-WAT folder, in the documentation
folder - copy CPD-88b.pdf
Step 3 - Run HEC-WAT, from the Help menu, the Hydrologic Sampler User's Manual item will now be active,
and when clicked the HEC-WAT Hydrologic Sampler User's Manual will display.
