Background
The watershed you will be using for this workshop is the Russian River in Northern California. There are two reservoirs in the watershed: Coyote Lake in the northern portion and Warm Springs Lake in central portion. The Russian River flows into the Pacific Ocean at Jenner, CA. This is the watershed that most of the workshops for the CWMS PROSPECT class will use.
Objective
This workshop will provide an introduction to the Control and Visualization Interface (CAVI), navigating the different modules, and using basic features.
In this workshop you will perform the following tasks to familiarize yourself with the CAVI:
Open a CAVI watershed
Edit map layers and display settings
View the availability of observed data throughout the watershed
Run a script to acquire the latest observed data from the USGS
Visualize time series and gridded data throughout the watershed
