HEC-EFM

HEC-EFM Plotter

HEC-GeoEFM

The developers of HEC-EFM invite partnerships to help translate this existing, publicly available software tool and its supporting documentation and demonstration project from English to other languages.

This offer recognizes that, while HEC-EFM is developed principally for use by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, user communities for this software are global and that a simple way to promote good water and ecosystem management practices in other parts of the world is to provide technologies in native languages, free of cost.

These partnerships do not provide participating organizations with any exclusive advantages, whether competitive, financial, or other. No funds or source code will be exchanged. HEC developers will support these efforts by providing already publicly available text documents and assistance with questions pertaining to the translations. Partnering organizations perform translations and provide translated resources back to HEC for free distribution via the web, with no constraints or obligations for involved entities.

This work is under the purview of the International Center for Integrated Water Resources Management (ICIWaRM). ICIWaRM’s mission is to help advance the practice of integrated water resources management through a combination of science, research, technology transfer, capacity building, and collaboration.

Please note that HEC-EFM has been developed exclusively on computers that use English (United States) as the active windows language. International users are encouraged to apply HEC-EFM on computers with English (United States) as the active windows language and use HEC-EFM’s language features and language resources to translate to the user’s preferred language.

If you are interested in helping with this effort, please contact hec.efm@usace.army.mil.
