Background
One of the major functions of CWMS is data visualization. A powerful method for data visualization is plotting, and CWMS gives users a great deal of control over how plots are configured. In this workshop you will use the CAVI Data Visualization tab to view real-time data in the watershed. You will practice changing the appearance of plots that represent stage and flow at a stream gage and will save settings using default line styles, default plot properties, and templates for reuse in various ways, and incorporate plots into a Microsoft Word document. Finally, you will work with a script to create a plot and change its appearance. You will associate both plot templates and scripts with time series icons.
Objective
The objective of this workshop is to introduce you to many of the plot customization features and illustrate their usefulness.
